Does anyone has been to China lately as a tourist with a Canon EOS 6D that has the GPS option and does the authority or custom officer check it out or mentioned anything about that GPS law if there is ?

I actually live in China.  On the very rare occasion that a foreigner would be stopped at Customs the last thing the inspector would be interested in is his/her camera.  Further, China, as most other countries around the world, depends on US GPS for everything from navigation to timekeeping.  The Chinese version is not global, and it's use is only being spurred via legislation (certain vehicles must use it at present).  Russia is using the same tactic.

I'm sure it's a matter of time until the Taiwanese (btw, the kings of GPS receivers) develops a receiver which can utilize all four (assuming the EU can ever fund theirs) systems, the accuracy would be great!
