  1. Unlikely. One would have to align the edge of the sensor right on or very close to the edge of the F vertical bar so that the sensor does not see the horizontal line.
  2. Irrelevant. No target and set up posted so far match the situation above.
  3. Incorrect. The non-crossed sensor will not lock focus unless the "F" is proportionally a large character which would allow the sensor to latch on the small horizontal bar at the top or bottom of the "F". If not the lens hunts and will not lock focus, which is different than locking and being inaccurate.
