how to photoshop product photography? clothing. CS6, Lightroom, etc.

I have a Canon w/ lighting kit.  Was wondering if anyone had any links or youtube links (step by step) on how to photoshop product photography??
(1)  I have white muslin (has wrinkles and bends and what not), anyone know how to photoshop a white background?
(2)  I really like glossy/shinny/reflective product photography

But, I am not sure if that is suitable for what I shoot (clothes, shoes, etc.).  Seems more suitable for metal objects.  But, I am trying to achieve that same "wow" factor you'd get if there was a before photo laid next to that photo.  Just not sure what adjustments (or even how) to do it.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
