D800: 6 fps without grip

It just occured to me, that there may some D800 users that don´t know about this old trick from the D300 era, to get full fps performance without the battery grip.

In the case of D800 that means 6 fps in crop mode, even at 1,2 crop.

set bracketing mode (e5) to flash only (but don´t use a flash)

press the bracketing button and choose number of frames (up to 9) with the thumb wheel

fire away!

Bursts of 5-7 frames in 1,2 crop mode works well for me.

REMINDER: if you set bracketing to, say, 7 frames and stop shooting after 5 frames the next burst will be 2 frames before you get a new 7 frames burst. Keep that in mind when you choose how many frames to bracket. 9 frames, or even 7, might be more than you actually will use at any specific moment. I recommend setting to 5, YMMV.
