Some X100s pics...

I've had the X100s a few days now. It's my first Fuji camera (I usually shoot Nikon DSLRs), so there has been quite a lot to get used to, but I've been having a lot of fun taking it around town. Surprisingly, I'm not missing the ability to zoom at all...

The image quality: when comparing to photos taken with my Nikon D7000 at 100% (similar 16MP APS-C sensor size), it does very well indeed. Much sharper and more detailed...really very impressive. Colours are great, too.

The only quibble I have so far is that I find myself having to switch to spot metering indoors, otherwise the shot tends to be overexposed.

Other than that, I'm totally satisfied with my new sidearm

I usually shoot RAW but haven't been able to process anything (except in camera) since I'm an Aperture user. I have a Capture One 7 trial version, but as yet it doesn't accept the X100s RAF files...

So, a few quick JPEG snaps, just for fun...

Developed from RAW in camera

Shot in Velvia - hence the oversaturated colours - which I like...

Something to irritate your eyes...

And yes - I like inky black shadows...
