1. I think that P&S cameras are dying and will be swept by mobile phones. In other hand enthusiast camera users, previously used an advanced P&S or entry DSLR cameras will mostly move to mirror less cameras due to better system flexibility and compactness. Pro’s will still use large DSLRs.

2. Based on previous statement it is very easy to understand, why we are hearing so many “tributes” to mirror less cameras here. This forum (DP Review) is mostly occupied by enthusiast users, not Pro’s (they are definitely here, but not the most) and not P&S (they just not interesting in). So it is not surprising, that “enthusiast users” are discussing “enthusiast cameras”!
