I have just purchased a canon eos 650D.

i am planning to buy a sd card for it and i am confused between these 2 cards.

1. Sandisk Extreme Pro SDHC Class 10 UHS-1 32GB 95mb/S Memory Card

2. Sandisk Extreme SDXC Class 10 UHS-1 64GB, 45mb/s Memory Card

Both the memory cards are of the same price.

I just want to know whether the extra write speed of extreme pro will be really of use in the 650D while taking continuous burst shots or HD video recording. Will it actually increase the performance of the camera in terms of write speed to the card compared to the lower sandisk extreme card.

Or the write speed of the camera will be less and will it be better if i go with the sandisk extreme itself with the 45mb/s write speed.

Please adivice...

After asking a similar question about a week ago, I did a quick test after reading this thread.

In Raw I easily get 5-6 shots before the camera starts to slow down. +- 23mb files.

In large jpeg size, the camera was still going after 24 shots. Checking DPP file info showed approx 4 seconds. But file size was only  +- 7mb.

S/S was 1/1000. ISO was 400. Light was bright sunshine.

Here is the test image.
