RX100 Coming tomorrow

I`ve got a Mint boxed barely used RX100 arriving tomorrow from a dealer with two batteries - for me this is THE replacement for the S90 (same format and similar lens range/speed, a bit bigger body, far bigger sensor), for me this is the S90 Mk2 as the S95 was the same camera and the 100/110 a downgrade in some areas ..

I`ve downloaded quite a few RAWs so know what to expect CA & distortion wise and downsized / PP'd JPGs to 12Mp to get an idea of Printability there - of course it blasts the S90 for everything image wise except that it doesn`t work in Capture one V5 even after DNG'ing and updating C1 isn`t an option as it would mean updating windows XP too (no way until Win-8 has been de-bugged) soooooooooo a few questions..

1:- has the battery been used before by Sony so I can find an OEM charger easily cheaply

2:- Is the IS as bad as reported, the S90`s isn`t anywhere near as good as the G10/11 but it works effectively for the size of the camera

3:- Richard Franiec`s grip was essential on the S90, is that so on the RX100

4:- What RAW converters are good with the RX100 - I can`t stand Silkypix as from experience it adds very unwelcome hidden NR even at base ISO and Lightroom drives me nuts (I wish they`d do a converter only version of that and leave the complex file manager part out) .. I used Fast-Stone to good effect when testing the files but it`s not geared for image adjustment really and settings are kept for all files and not tagged separate for each image - RAW Therapee is painful to use and turns RX RAWs into alien landscapes.
