valuing focal length
Mar 6, 2013

Hi pros. I've got Canon FD lenses for my NEX5N and I love the system. My widest FD is the 24/2. My reading indicates that the 1.5 crop factor makes that equivalent to ~35mm FF.

I've been pining for a nFD 17mm (equiv ~24mm) for over a year yet I am unconvinced I actually need it because I already have a 35mm equiv.

So, please share your thoughts and experiences on whether having both 35mm FF and 24mm FF is truly necessary? Those of you with both lengths do you regularly use both or do you find yourself regularly pick one length over the other?

Thanks guys n gals!
