Yeah, it could be. Sometimes the camera refuses to wake up. Other times it just seems to hang when writing to the CF card. The body creaks too. And the sensor needs a good clean - and my eyes aren’t up to it. Come to think of it... my SD15 sensor needs a clean as well.

How about the earthing mod on this forum or the revised earthing mod?
Maybe that's all your SD14 needs to get back into the action.
