Yeah, green cast is there and it can be corrected in the post.

I wonder if this is because Nikon wants to please the landscape photographers by making greens look greener.

You can add +1 of magenta to the auto WB setting, but then that can hurt you in certain light.  It seems to help a bit in typical tungsten (which to me yields the worst high ISO shots anyway).
