Hint:two of the primary players (Olympus and Panasonic) have poor dealer and Big Box reach in the US: buyers just don't see them like they do Canon and Nikon DSLRs.

I live in a medium sized city in the US with a population of just under 1 million people when including our suburbs. There is not a single place you can even see or try a better m4/3 camera. Sams Club has an EPM1 and Target carries a GF3. That's it. No camera store even carries Oly or Panny stuff. You cannot try out an OM-D or GH3 here, there are no lenses, flashes, or anything. Canon and Nikon stuff is everywhere, and to some degree Sony. You can buy a D800 from BestBuy though!
