Meeting with X100s operation manager from Japan

I attended a hands on session this evening organized by Fuji HK.  There were 15 attendees.  Fuji sent two staff from Japan; a young gentleman from the marketing department and a middle-aged gentleman (Mr. Kawahara) who is the Operations Manager from the Products Planning Division.  I was told that Mr. Kawahara is famous within Fuji for bringing out the X100/X100s cameras.

It was a very informative session.  The good news is that I managed to pass Mr. Kawahara the firmware wish list I gathered from this forum.  I had my X-E1 with me, and I demonstrated a number of X-E1 issues to him.  I got his email address and direct phone number so I can do some follow ups later on.  So now we have our firmware wish list passed over to the heart of the X-camera division

My impression with Mr. Kawahara is that he is a very humble person.  He is also very knowledgeable about the X-series camera products, not just with X100s, but with X20 as well.

X100s

We were handed with souvenirs before we left.  The X100s pin (on the left) was handed to me by Mr. Kawahara.  There is also a X20 keychain and a couple brochures given by Fuji HK.
