Was going to get the D5200 thinking they would put the same sensor in the D7100.

Wrong I was....

Lets see after the results are in, but this might be the camera I have been waiting for.

. . . so break open the piggy bank, reduce the kids allowance, take the wife's credit card away, no problem . . . the DX lenses are cheaper and lighter. Your Tamron will do fine. Its time, Roman. The DR might be a little less than the D7000 - or not. The noise MIGHT be a little more at high ISO, but less than your D300. In any case, it will be light years ahead of your D300. Bite the bullet, Roman. Life is short.

Yeah...yeah...yeah. D300 still working....but this is high on my list. Lets get this next big sale down and will talk. Wife is ALWAYS prodding me to get the gear I need. It IS about time to upgrade (downgrade?) again. I like the idea of the D7100 over the D800 because I like light gear....I like not having to buy new lenses, I like showing people they dont have to spend a bazillion dollers to get professional results....so will probably get this and the 14-24 for my night photography efforts as well. Eventually trade in my 12-24 on a Sigma 8-16 to go with the 14-24. That would carry me through another 4-6 years if Nikon dosnt come out with some amazing 24 stop DR camera in the near future. (like THATS ever gonna happen)
