This is why D7100 frame rate is important to me

What I am getting at is if the D7100 can get same frame rate as D300S, then I know I would have something at least as good as what i have now and hopefully something better. I do not use the battery grip so from what I have been reading it seems like if I use jpg mode then D700 will be just as fast as D300S. I do not machine gun often but the example I posted was one of those times when I do keep my finger on the trigger.

I do not make enough shooting sports to justify the D400 and the glass I would need to make up for the lessor reach of a FX camera. I will use my D800 for sports but mainly when I want to shoot wide or times when I want the extra detail.

I will be in Vegas at the same time the WPPI expo will be there so maybe I can actually tough and feel the D7100.
