I'm not changing the target distance.  What are you trying to say?

There is no image to open up in NX2.  The camera won't trip the shutter (unless setting a2 is changed to shutter-release priority).  If your CSM a2 setting is at factory default (focus priority), and you are getting an image, then your setup is incorrect.

and not the one you select and it does lock.... !

Not in AF-S single-point.  As I've said before, I've used this to precisely map out the size/location of the AF detection lines.  Focus search results 100% of the time if the single selected point doesn't "see" any detail.
