Sorry no advice on monitor as all I use my MacBook Pro screen calibrated with Spyder2express.

Hi, Trevor.
Do you think, that the express version of the spyder system is sufficient? There are more expensive version that use data from ambient light and so on...
How often do you callibrate your screen?

Yep the express version seems to work for my 3 year old MacBook Pro very well.
No idea how it will work with the Retina screens though.
