Thanks Baje, I believe thanking the CRC of this lens is in order for that one.

I have found this lens to be killer sharp at the wider apertures, but you're right, it's the focusing that can be the deterrent to seeing any sharpness. I've tried using this lens on a d300, and I simply can't get accurate enough results unless I stop down to f/2.8. Gotta love peaking and magnification with these EVF cameras though. Gives old and misunderstood lenses new life.

I am very impressed with everything I see and hear of the NEX7. I was considering it and may eventually get a NEX -edition at some point, but I also wanted fast shooting and so got a D300.

I am very happy with it, tons easier to focus than the D5000 with MF Lenses, but you are right that peaking and seeing what the sensor sees is better for MF, ultinately.

Cameras have  come a long way, so many options, that are wonderful.
