Good day all,
I have a D700 into the LA service center. Their diagnostic is:
EXPOSURE APERTURE 3.1 LVR BENT-MOUNT APPEARS TO BE BENT
The repair estimate is $304.00 + shipping and tax. What will they do to correct this? What parts would they replace?
Also known as the aperture control assembly, it's the mechanical module which makes up the right side of the mirror box. They will not perform disassembly/reassembly of this module, to replace the lever itself, as it's complex and probably beyond technician training. The module is only worth around $120, so the rest of the repair cost is labor.
