I want to know the shooting range of some popular lenses

Please mention the maximum distance covered through the following lenses for shooting an object clearly ?

1. 70-200 mm lense

2. 18-55 mm

3. 55-250 mm

4. 75-300 mm

5. 100-400 mm

6. 28-135 mm

How can calculate this distance based on these focal lenghts ?

a very quick calculation to fill the frame with your subject:
sensor height / focal length = subject height / subject distance

so for a full-frame camera, 400mm lens, 6 foot tall person:

24mm / 400mm = 6 feet / 100 feet

similarly:

sensor width / focal length = subject width / subject distance

so for a full-frame camera, 400mm lens, 20 foot long car:

36mm / 400mm = 20 feet / 222 feet

find out your sensor height or width, lens focal length, and subject height or width and you can calculate any distance you want ...
