Exchange rate would definitely affect the global pricing policies but the rates tend to float widely.

Production effectiveness (in term of volumes) could be the deciding factor in my mind. Since DPM series are immensely popular on Japanese domestic market and also gaining popularity in rest of the world, the number of cameras sold would have direct effect on declining production cost of the sensor per unit. If this is plausible, I think, we can expect accelerating progress in camera segment by Sigma:-).

Just my hope
