I am sure Oly has intentionally misrepresented the ISO for marketing. I have to set my Gossen Lunasix F light meter @ ISO 100 to match the settings of the camera @ ISO 200.
I typically shoot +.7 exposure compensation to achieve good exposure on the E-M5.

The wood is clear between the knots.
All camera`s will vary to some extent this is common.
Why do you think light meters are or should be calibrated to the camera body and lens used.
Am I bothered no.
The point being, my hand-held light meter results in good exposures whereas the in-body E-M5 under exposes without plus exposure compensation. I now know that +.7 compensation is close enough & can be fine tuned in Lightroom.

Are you shooting JPEG or RAW?
Also, when you dial in the exposure values suggested by your light meter, is the resulting image properly exposed, or do you have to dial in an extra .7 EV in compensation?

I shoot RAW.
The light-meter gives me the proper exposure except when shooting snow & then I add compensation.

Not trying to hound you here - I am genuinely interested in your findings.
1. What RAW converter do you use to convert your photos into JPEGs?
2. To be clear, I'll use an example scenario, and you can tell me if this is correct: You use your light meter to determine exposure values for a specific scene. You then dial in those exposure values in your E-M5, after which you dial in an extra .7 EV in compensation in order to end up with an image that has the correct brightness, to your eyes?
Again, I'm genuinely interested in your findings, and am only asking for precise answers in order to remove any ambiguity about what you're reporting.
Thanks!

1. I use Lightroom to develop & convert to JPEG.
2. I rarely use my external light-meter; I shoot mostly in aperture priority & simply set the camera to +.7 exposure compensation.
I will use the external light-meter to scan for a panorama series & use the "brightest" value to set up aperture & shutter speed in manual mode so that the exposures of individual frames are all the same. Here is one I did this morning that I had to increase exposure in Lightroom because the snow was not white enough. This is 9 frames stitched together in PhotoStitch.
