Since the SX50 has such a wonderful zoom and IS capabilities it is not surprising that the first thing owners shoot are birds, deer, moon, etc.--no big surprise--but I'm telling you that it is quite capable of shooting many other things as well. Is it perfect? NO! Is any camera perfect? NO! The first place I found that it couldn't perform as well as I had hoped was at the dimly lit aquarium with all those fast swimmers. Did I come home with some decent photos--a few. I have not tried any action indoor shots but I'm guessing that is not it's strength either. Here are a couple links to SX50 photos that I've taken so far and with the exception of the birds and moon they are similar to the photos I was taking with my DSLR.!i=2366820823&k=ZxSbdwm

The SX50 is now my only camera and I am quite happy with the results so far.

Murry......what happened with the indoor shots at the aquarium? Were they just too noisy or blurry? I can't get perfect shots with the dslr so I don't expect it with this one either.

I really want to like the sx50 cuz I am already getting use to the canon cameras.

Do you want to smack me yet with all of my incessant questions?
