Re: Is the SX50 only good for photographing birds in trees?

Since the SX50 has such a wonderful zoom and IS capabilities it is not surprising that the first thing owners shoot are birds, deer, moon, etc.--no big surprise--but I'm telling you that it is quite capable of shooting many other things as well.  Is it perfect?  NO!  Is any camera perfect? NO!  The first place I found that it couldn't perform as well as I had hoped was at the dimly lit aquarium with all those fast swimmers.  Did I come home with some decent photos--a few.  I have not tried any action indoor shots but I'm guessing that is not it's strength either.  Here are a couple links to SX50 photos that I've taken so far and with the exception of the birds and moon they are similar to the photos I was taking with my DSLR.

The SX50 is now my only camera and I am quite happy with the results so far.
