Never mind ISO and shutter speeds etc, you can cut to the quick.

When you have a frame of a given identical scene exposed to your liking side by side on both cameras, which camera shows less noise?

Well, on these cameras both have similar IQ, NR DR, detail, my doubt is if you put the both cameras pointing to the same scene, same ISO settings, the shutter speeds and aperture will be the same ?

I know this only counts for low light situations

And if my memory serves me correctly, in the scenario you provided, the E-M5 and GH3 will usually choose equivalent values (or very close to it) for ISO, shutter speed and aperture.

This is one important part of the question at hand, and my understanding is that the exposure values chosen by the E-M5 are in line with what most other modern digital cameras at the enthusiast level would choose.
