Is the EM5’s Miss-Stated ISO concerning to you?

Just curious if anyone else noticed how much the Olympus EM5 ISO rating differs from every other camera’s? I know that it has been said that the EM5 and GH3 will produce very similar noise patterns at the same ISO.

However, if the exposures are totally different then that really is not a fair comparison.

It looks like DXO Mark’s tests show that he OMD E-M5 is exposing about 1 stop lower than every other camera in its class. In addition the Dpreview E-M5 comparison images are about 2/3s of a stop longer shutter duration than other cameras at the same ISO.

So is the E-M5 really about 1 stop behind the GH3?

DXO Mark Comparison

Dpreview ISO 6400 OMD = 1/1600, F6.3

Dpreview ISO 3200 GH2 = 1/1300, F6.3

Dpreview ISO 3200 Canon 550D = 1/1000, F7.1
