XZ-2 is best "compact" but...

I was never a fan of Olympus but the XZ-2 and PEN's image quality made me start looking around here.  I myself am in a pickle, but my pickle may help you.

I'm deciding if I want to buy an Olympus PEN PM2 with a 20mm or 14mm pancake lens ($900, usable ISO3200), OR, if I want to buy the XZ-2 ($550, only usable up to ISO800 or less IMO).  All the cameras are about the same size.  The problem is that I'm thinking the XZ-2's lens is sharper than either of the lenses I could get for the PM2.  And I can't find any comparison images!

And this may help you because the XZ-2 has made me cross the Sony RX100, Canon G15, or Nikon P7700 off my list!  And yes, the XZ-2 is a worthy upgrade to the XZ-1.  You could sell the XZ-1 used for about $200 maybe if it's in good shape.
