I use the camera clip from Peak Design.

The thing I like about it is that you have very quick access to the camera so that you don't miss any picture opportunities. They have a plate that is especially designed for Micro Four Thirds, as it is narrower. The plate is also Swiss ARCA compatible. I highly recommend it!

This looks very interesting. Thx. What do you personally attach it to when you use it? Backpack shoulder strap? Backpack waist belt?

Don't mean to barge in, but I also wanted to voice my opinion of the camera clip.  I hike and backpack often and I always use the clip to attach my DSLR.  It attaches directly to the pack strap-you place it where it is comfortable for you, then lock it down with the metal twist knobs.  The only negative I have found with it is that I have to use vice grips to squish it down enough so that I can tighten the knobs, but this is only on packs with thick straps (3 out of my 5 packs have thick straps).  But, not a big deal as you only do this once before the trip because you never have to remove it afterwards.  I like it MUCH better than the other carriers and whatnot that basically just put a big solid mass of material on your frontside.  It's bad enough having to deal with your back sweating, but having the same on the front is ridiculous-more so for me since I hike and backpack in the desert.
