I was going to write the same thing. See if you can change the angle that you photograph this at to get more of the top of the pole and road, and less of the sky in the next try. I think that might work.

Thank you for the C&C! I will go back to the spot and try that. Get more space above the pedestrian sign while keeping the geometry in place and lines together.

My flip-down LCD will be handy!!

Of course, it may only 'barely work' at best, in the end. But the main thing is you're seeing something and making an effort to find a balanced arrangements of the elements framed. One might also think, if there's room, what could be done in this vein being farther back with a longer FL? But again, I see things liek this that just don't quite work period, and so it goes. But I don't think the practice a waste of time while it engages me.
