The OP is talking about shots posted by J Random User on the internet.  Such shots are not useful for comparing cameras except to show that the camera in question is capable of producing a certain result in the hands of that user.   The issue is that these days essentially all cameras are capable of producing excellent results.

If a camera maker uses an algorithm that is better tuned for their sensor (e.g. Fuji X-trans)  than what's in dcraw, why a does dcraw comparison result make any sense?
