For the OP:

I'd be surprised if an upgrade would make as much difference as you hope. Yup, greater dr, better low light, more buttons and better build quality are all desirable, but they are mainly luxuries. I took a look through your flickr and think you've taking shots of some good subjects, and when you learn more about how the camera and photographs differ from what the eye sees, you'll produce some knockout shots with any camera.

Beware of marketing in photography, its easy to think you're missing something (and people's enthusiasm on forums such as this can be some of the most powerful marketing around).

Just one thing - get over your iso800 phobia! You'll never be happy with any camera ever is you get into that game.
