Ebay Trouble - Value of a lens?

Just read your thread and was wondering what happened...did you return it or get a price reduction? Usually if there's ever a problem with an item both the vendor and the customer can come to a solution that will satisfy both parties, but it does pay to do a bit of research before you buy in order not to run into any problems in the first place. I've been buying and selling on Ebay since it started and believe me, it pays to do your homework, especially with high ticket items such as cameras etc. I've done nearly all of my buying on Ebay...in fact I've just purchased a Tamron 200-500mm zoom lens and I couldn't be happier.  Gonna have to put half my collection of glass on there to pay for it, but if it's as good as I think it will be, hey... it's a no-brainer!
