Well that's interesting.  I really don't know about current Sigma.  20+ years ago I was one of the testers for the original 70-210/2.8 Sigma, and Tamron version too for that matter.  Haven't owned a Sigma for Alpha since then.

But I'd swear I read somewhere that Sigma was supposed to release HSS for Alpha, but then decided not to at last minute.  Similar to how they withdrew the promise of the 120-300/2.8.  It would surprise me to learn that the OSS HSS II version was available for Alpha.

Don't trust me on current Sigma offerings for Alpha.  I really don't know.
