Thus K-01 was really a good test to see up to what extremes a product design idea can go, and to engineering department a vitally important exercise to see what is possible, and what extra features are requested and need refining in the area of "mirror-less", "DSLRs", cross-bridge, etc.

Design was not a problem with K01. It was a bad camera for other reasons. It was mirrorless but still thick. Empty space inside. It was large, but yet couldn't find a place for an EVF. It was liveview only camera, but yet LCD was fixed. The AF was slow. It was expensive at launch.  It could only do 1 fps in RAW. Think about it, when was the last time a camera did  only 1 fps? 10 years ago? It had focus peaking,  but focus peaking was disabled for video.

There are not design issues. That's a poorly developed camera with no effort put in it.
