Four years ago in Pereira, Colombia a Dr. friend was walking from the Supermarket to his car in a secondary parking lot a fair distance from the market. The Dr. dressed in appropraite attire, suit and tie and rather a small unassuming man that probably looked like a lucrative target. He was carrying his Dr.s bag and near the entrance to the overflow parking lot (no guard) he was accosted by 2 thieves with guns. The Dr. complied with their request for money and told them his wallet was in his Dr.'s bag But instead of the wallet he pulled out his .38 and killed both of them before they got off a shot. The authorities didn't even bother to question the Dr. in fact they wanted to give him a medal.

' You don't have to have the best of everything to get the best out of what you do have'.

That was the Dr.s choice to make.  I am glad it turned out good for him.  Most criminals are dumb but his choice to escalate the confrontation did have risks though.
