I am glad to see their DR matched very closely with what I measured too. I measured 12.5 stops at ISO 100 and 8.99 at ISO 1600 (camera), they had 12.6 and 8.84, so both very close. Gives me a more confidence in what I am measuring.

Hi Eric,

have You also measured the NX200?

No, just going on the assumption that the NX20 and 200 are the same, which they might not be, but they seem the same when I use them. My 200 is IR converted now so not really possible to test it any longer.

At this point it would be nice if they test the 210 and 20, but I wouldn't care. I do hope they test the 300 in less than 1.5 years though

I thought so, therefore my hint.

...if You correct Your values like I described, You get a difference from around 2/3 stop between Your measurement and the DxO values:

screen value @ camera setting

You (NX 20) 12.5 @ ISO 100

DxO (NX200) 11.92 @ ISO 100

You (NX20) 8.99 @ ISO 1600

DxO (NX200) 8.17 @ ISO 1600

I hope we look at the right values now,

maybe You can tune Your values according to the NX300 measurements to come -

assuming You test a NX300 in future.

-

However,

I think, that Samsung may have improved at least the circuits around the sensor between the NX200 and the NX20 - maybe also the cooling etc.,

so maybe Your values are spot on - without knowing it yet.
