Re: Backup Camera

I dislike changing lenses so my backup camera does double duty for additional focal lengths.

At the moment the camera if choice for this is the Sony RX100.

It fits in pockets I forget I have and gives 28-105 of good DR in 20MP.

I can shoot my OM-D with 75/1.8 or 25/1.4 or 100-300 or now, the 35-100/2.8 and not worry about not having a good FL for a shot.

On two occaisions I was shooting for a competition with the OM-D and the shot I found required a different FL, so I used the RX100 and won the contest. Can't ask for more than that.

In fact, I'm sat having a beer on top of a very tall building in Bangkok, and the new 35-100/2.8 that is currently glued to my OM-D isn't wide enough so I just used the RX100 to fill in. I'll post a few shots when I'm back at my computer.
