I liked almost everything about the K-01, including the general design, but it had two major flaws that exaggerated each other.

Keeping the K mount and it's flange focal distance made the camera boxy. This could have been offset by the great 'Limited' compact primes and so wasn't fatal by itself. But the lack of EVF, or option to add one, meant it was a poor fit for Teles and large zooms. This meant there was no benefit (upside) from the bulk, which made it somewhat of a misfit, loved only by those who compulsively love misfits.

I did try telling the Pentaxians at the time but got gang-gagged.
