Wrong, those are camera-lenses tests. For lens only tests, you would need different equipment.

The test are not designed to determine which camera is capable of resolving more detail. I explained it all before. Perhaps you could tell me the distance to the target that TDP used for both of those tests?

Whatever it was, it was the same (within <10%). Equivalence.

And, while your at it, why you would think a 50/1.4 at f1.4 would deliver anywhere near the image detail to the sensor plane for recording as an 85/1.8 at f2?

That is the whole point that MAC made and you agreed. It makes sense to compare (1) systems at (2) equivalent settings. You keep insisting on your interpretation of what "a sensor can resolve", something that nobody cares about, not even you.
