D700 to D600, any thoughts?

i dunno. there's a lot to like about the imaging system of the D600, but in many other respects it's inferior to the D700. i would like the D600 more in an "s" incarnation, with the improvements that the D7100 got over its predecessor. then, i would say an upgrade was compelling -- IMO.
