router - best bang for the buck

I have a need to finally go wireless and have looked at a lot of reviews. As with many unfamiliar add-ons it can get confusing. I'd like to keep the hard wire for my main computer (speed, reliability) and my printer (uses the router to hook up, out of usb ports) so a couple of cat 5(?) inputs are a must.

I need to be able to link to an ipod to check to see how web pages work on these small devices. Plug & play/ease of setup/use would be a big plus, but also need speed and reliability. I don't need a huge range as I'll be within 15 ft with no walls.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
