Moderators role

May I add, that the ultimate idea of a forum should be the sharing of knowledge and the assistance of others. Decisions have to be made according to this. I cannot enter in specifics - because then I would violate the "no individual actions" dogma - but let's say I have witnessed the removal of entire threads (without warning or request for modification) whose sole purpose was to share knowledge with other users. Makes one feel like his time is best served doing something else, frankly.
