Not sure what I would do. Lots of 50x super zooms on the market. Why a super zoom? You could never carry a lens that large and its nice and quick. I would still take my Full Frame but keep something wide on it for nice landscapes.
Think about it...would you take a 800mm F5.6 if you could? If you say yes..then I would do it. Its a 20K lens but you can rent it for about 500-600 a week. Might sound liek alot but its a once in a lifetime trip...so go for it.
