Analysis Paralysis....help me...please

I am currently the owner of Nikon D90 with assorted lenses and flashes. I love my camera....except...it stays at home too often due to weight/bulk. By far my favorite lens for it is the 80-200 AF-D I bought used. It is the only really fast glass I ever bought. I just could never justify paying the big bucks required for any others.
So I've been unhappy with my lack of picture taking and decided to look into some sort of compact camera to take with me more often...trying to see where the technology has come in recent years. I do not like "digitally" looking pictures, which is how I describe the pics from the compacts I've seen. I have always loved the smoothness and depth and.....man, I just don't know how to describe the qualities I find from my D90 that I don't see in non-DSLR photos. Whatever that larger sensor does, it's magic. Then the MFT system pops up in my research. No less than Thom Hogan has invested in it, and finds the pictures acceptable.
Which has lead me to think about investing in the MFT system. Oh boy....quagmire ahead.... EP-3, EPL-5, EPM-2, G3, G5, GH3, GX1, GF2....are you freaking kidding me? Who names these things?
After a ton of research I'm barely any closer to making a decision. Currently my "shopping cart" at amazon has the following:
Panasonic GX1 $319
Olympus 45mm 1.8 $399
Panasonic Leica 25mm 1.4 $499
My thinking is that the bodies are advancing so quickly that it does not make sense for me to invest a large portion of my budget into the body right now. I don't want to make the same mistake I did with my Nikon system where I was constantly trying so hard to find "budget lenses". Having said that I just can't bring myself to drop the coin necessary to get something like the Panny 12-35. So Primes it is. I've always been intrigued by the shooters that talk about how their creative juices really are sparked by the limitations inherent in a prime. Also, the subject isolation inherent with large apertures is one of my favorite features of my current system. To get that with the smaller sensor I need really fast lenses. These seemed like a good choice.
I'm pretty confident with my lens choices, eventually I would really like to go wider, but can't spring for any more at the moment.
Now I need convincing on the body. For the most part I have liked the Oly colors better, but not sure I like them enough to jump up to the EPL-5 for the quality sensor...price wise that's another $300.
Part of me thinks I should just plunk down $400 total and get the Nikon p7700 that would work with my flashes and call it good. Is the MFT stuff going to be that much better? I put a lot of stock into the handling/feel of the camera, as part of the joy of photography is the feel of high quality gear....
Help....me....
