I went to Japan twice last year, first trip with X10 and the second trip with my NEX-6. The NEX-6 blows the X10 out of the water in terms of DR, resolution, and high ISO performance. What the NEX-6 doesn't do so well are fill flash and general in door flash performance. But there are times that I can use the flash on the NEX-6 for ceiling bounce flash, and it does come out better than the direct flash of X10. The skin tone on X10 is also better provided you stay below ISO 200 (no, even EXR ISO 400 is not acceptable for me in terms of skin tone), but NEX has a Bayer sensor, so anything can be fixed with ACR.

For now, the NEX-6 is my replacement of X10.

Now that Sony has the NEX-3N + 16-50mm lens kit for $500. I think it is going to be a harder sell for X20 as there is no way you can beat the performance of an APS-C sensor, especially a Sony sensor.

You also get the choice of interchangeable lenses, and I get to use my Zeiss lenses from my Contax G2 days, which is very sharp and rich in colors. It is easy to focus with the Focus Peaking function in the NEX-6.

Thanks Albert. For a lot of photographers, the NEX-6 is a great cam with all the good features you mention. As a matter of fact, I like the cam's grip, it's one of the best I have seen. The new 16-50mm lens is a fantastic combo for travel. However, the new NEX-3N is not in the same category as the NEX-6 for obvious reasons. Great price though! By the way, did Sony ever provide Auto ISO for Manual Mode shooting?

Like your pic. Thanks for sharing.
