Good idea about the underexposure in P mode. You don't use the auto ISO do you? I will give this a try also. We pay enough for these cameras so let them do some of the work when needed. I will just ride the flash exposure comp when needed in ETTL. Can I ask what is your preferred metering mode if you use flash with P mode. I have become a fan of spot metering compared to evaluative so flash is not thrown off trying to read all of the zones when using ETTL. Thanks
