I have read it. Have you?

Where does it say that these sensors are better becasue of the manufacturing process?

they have higher QE , Sony 56% , Toshiba 65% compared to Canons 50%

they have better read out, lower read out noise and better DR.

this is little fun, the DX crop in a d800 compared to 7d and DR

"they have higher QE , Sony 56% , Toshiba 65% compared to Canons 50%"

These calculate out to be about a 6th of a stop and about a 3rd of a stop respectively -- not to significant in terms of real world performance. This is quibbling over minutia.

well first of all 7d has a QE of 41 % http://www.sensorgen.info/CanonEOS_7D.html

and second the d800 has a QE of 56% so I do not know what you mean

The 5DII had 33% which they improved to 50% on the 5DIII. I don't know what the 6D has but the point is that they did some work improving their sensor in the interim (on the 5 series at least). At 50% there is only one stop left to be gained so I suspect it becomes an issue of diminishing return. I don’t have a feel for what it takes to get from 50% to 57% but I do have a feel for what it would do to my pictures which isn’t much. To me it seems like the QE is good enough. They need to turn their focus toward improvement of the read out noise.

yes,but one thing is that Canon has "thinner" the CFA during the years, and what if we could write this on "canon rumors forum" without getting thrown out as I did

what a joke that forum is with 2 persons controlling a whole forum - please give them my best regards to neuroscientist and jrista, are they possible payed by Canon?

by thinner  CFA I meant that Canon can handle 2800K light in a good way but the daylight 5000-5500K are are not as accurate as with for example the Nikon CFA.

But that is anoher story
