Yes, you should open a blog and call it "By Tim". Oh wait...

Stupid joke aside I mostly share your analysis and I'm very happy I bet on the right horse in Summer 2012, when I bought into the system through the GF-1.

Other mirrorless will continue there's no worry to have about this. It's just that photographers won't be buying them. The sensor size argument is not tenable anymore since the avent of the OM-D and fast lenses allowing shadow DoF. As you're saying, though, Sony is Godzilla, they have great sensors and even if their system if kind of half-arsed they will sell because of the brandname alone.

I heard as well that Samsung is making mirrorless but I'm yet to see one in the street. They could be the ones to go but as I understand they're kind of the underdog and I always have a soft spot for underdogs...

Now it's not a matter of which mirrorless will be discontinued or not I think, but rather which brands will survive. A half-convinced Pentaxian myself (I was that close to sell all my system to fund my new computer equipment - eventually just sold the 31mm Ltd) I'm a bit anxious for the future of Pentax and am curious to see how they will negotiate their full frame revolution. They had bet on APS-C DSL-R being a durable format but now they are squized between APS-C or m43 mirrorless and fiull frame DSL-Rs. However they stil provide the best value for money and my K5 + Sigma 17-50 2.8 remains my workhorse. Let's see how they combine with Ricoh stuff. Interesting things can definitely come out from there on the mirrorless side...

Hmmm... yep, my vote goes to Samsung...
