It is always easy to say upgrade since newer camera IS always better, and getting less expensive to. I have all the cameras I need or want, D90 D700 D3s, lens 300mm, 400mm, 70-200mm, primes, all pro lens, so which camera would I take to my 13 European trips so far? It is the D90 with the 18-70mm f3.5-4.5 lens. Why, because it is light weight and the lens is sharp and flexible enough for its purpose. Unless you are there for a specific photographic assignment, I would not buy a new camera just for the trip. OK, flame suit on!!!

A few snap shot, one close up and one far away.  Taken in Germany last December.  Are they good enough for you?
