You keep trying to conflate the issue by saying that it's within your rights to return defective equipment, but nobody would disagree with that as such. It's buying three lenses with the express intent of returning two of them opened that is a complete tool move.
Trying to get back on topic, this thread is making me want to grab this lens. When it first came out I wanted to be blown away more by the sharpness for $800, and am waiting to see how the Zeiss 12 stacks up. But I might just snatch this bad boy if anyone runs a sale on it...
Yep, it's within my rights and two of them were terrible and the other just OK...so Sony needs to tighten up on QAQC or make a specific 10-18 for Nex-7's or issue a HONEST statement about the problem of the 10-18 on the Nex-7 or issue a firmware fix that ANY of the 10-18's will correct on the Nex-7...
What would be the difference buying and shipping them ONE at a time until I get a good copy and save LOTS of fuel and effort or do it ALL at once and be done...since you all are going "green" on me...
It would have taken me three round trips to UPS and UPS three round trips to come to my home...so about thats probably at minimum 50$ in fuel and then Carbon Emmissions...lol...not to mention shipping cost back and forth...
6 in one hand....half a dozen in the other...lol...you guy's crack me up...
Oh and one of the lens had already been sold once before...you could tell it had been repackaged, it could be the one I kept I didn't keep track of which is which...lol...
We BUY plenty of Amazon Warehouse Deals ALL the time, so go bark up another tree...

I'm happy to see that your arrogant defense of cheating got roundly rejected here, and you can keep whining endlessly but no one will side with you. Like many people today, you think that you are at the center of the universe, with time more precious than any consequence like hundreds of dollars stolen from the retail supply chain.
Even so, what you clearly demonstrate by now is an utter incompetence at technical judgment: so, not only are you gaming return policies and causing damage to the marketplace, even after your stupid three-at-a-time strategy, you don't even possess the technical expertise to identify a good lens (and you fail to understand the physical limitations of lens types that won't go away). From your samples, you clearly also just fired off shots in automatic mode.
Lastly, it's hilarious to see you justify your behavior by making an argument against it: you say that you suspect (after the fact) that the lenses were already used, customer returns. GUESS WHO CAUSES THAT SORT OF THING?
I'm sure you'll scribe endless defenses because it's impossible for you to be wrong, but that's really the last word. Let's get back to talking about this lens -- without you.
